The Alumni Association of KMCH College of Nursing serves as a strong network connecting graduates across various batches. Through various initiatives, the association contributes to the advancement of nursing education, healthcare, and community service.

Bye- Laws

Bye- Law 1: Election Officers

  • All office bearers shall be elected by the members present at the time of the annual general body meeting.
  • All members have the right to send their nomination in writing to the Secretary and vote for them. All newly elected officers will assume official responsibilities after the annual general body meeting.
  • The President, Vice- President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer shall hold officer for a period of three years and shall be elected from the members of the Association.

Bye- Law 2: Banking

  • A bank account will be held at any of the recognized banks in Coimbatore under the name “Alumni Association of the KMCH College of Nursing” to be operated jointly by the President and Treasurer

Bye- Law 3: The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee shall

  • 1. Meet at least 2 times during the year.
  • 2. Have the power to authorize the operation of the bank accounts by the duly elected officers namely President and Treasurer at all times.
  • 3. Have the power to fill the vacancies which may occur among the officers during the period between Annual and General elections.
  • 4. Be responsible for appointing committees for special projects.
  • 5. Be at full liberty to discuss and clarify all acts of constitution and bye-laws whenever the need arises.
  • 6. Consider suggestion and implement the decision made at the annual general meeting.

  • The President shall preside at the general body and executive meeting of the association and shall be ex-officio of all committees.
  • The Vice-President shall assume all the responsibilities of the President in her absence
  • The Secretary shall be responsible for calling of the general body and executive committee in consultation with President or Vice- President. She is responsible to update the minutes of all meeting. The minutes of the general body meeting will be displayed within one month of meeting. The Secretary shall also be responsible for sending out newsletter editing them and to maintain contact and promote activities, fulfilling objectives of the association. She shall send messages to members (events) when need arise.
  • The Assistant Secretary shall assist Secretary in her activities and be prepared to assume the entire responsibility of the Secretary, if need arises due to the absence of Secretary.
  • The Treasurer shall assume responsibility for collection of the annual subscription dues and money for any project which the general body may decide upon the treasurer shall pay out the bills responsible for reasonable expenses incurred for the association which have been approved by the President. She will present the annual account in the general body meeting.

Amendments

Any alteration to the rules and regulations of the association shall be (altered) effected by a vote of at least three fifths of the full members of the association present at a meeting of the Executive members. Amendment regarding bye-laws shall be proposed in writing by a member or members are given to the secretary two months prior to the general body meeting. This shall be approved at the general body meeting by the majority of votes.
